Attorney Herbie Rosen presented on transgender student policies and in-district special education programming

Berchem Moses was proud to help sponsor the CABE/CAPSS Convention, which was held on November 15 and 16 at the Mystic Marriot Hotel.  The Convention provided board of education members and superintendents from all across the state with the opportunity to participate in a variety of sessions and workshops geared towards better preparing them to meet the needs of students.  Two of those workshops were presented by Berchem Moses’ Herbie Rosen.  Herbie presented “Awareness, Inclusivity, and Safety: An Overview of How School Districts Should Support Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Students.”  He also participated in a workshop titled, “Every Student Served: Development of In-District Sites for Special Education Programming.”

As a reminder, we provide a myriad of trainings and seminars on essential and topical educational issues, in order to ensure our school district clients maintain compliance with their many state and federal requirements.  Importantly, any sessions can be tailored to meet specific issues, needs or concerns that you wish to have addressed.  Do not hesitate to reach out and inquire!
