Leadership at Berchem Moses PC recently elevated Rebecca Goldberg, Matthew L. Studer and Paul A. Testa to Partners of the firm.

Rebecca Goldberg joined the firm as an Associate in the Milford office in 2014 and was promoted to Senior Counsel in 2023. She partners with human resources professionals and business managers to counsel them through the most challenging workplace situations. Attorney Goldberg frequently publishes articles to help employers keep up with new Connecticut and federal laws, providing timely practical guidance. She regularly presents seminars and webinars for management on various topics, including mental health issues in the workplace, supervisory skills, wage and hour laws, Title IX, and discrimination and harassment.
Attorney Goldberg received her Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in 2011. Since 2018, she has been named to the Connecticut and New England Super Lawyers Rising Stars lists for Employment & Labor. Each year, only 2.5% of attorneys in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, forty years old and under, or in practice for ten years or less, receive the Rising Stars honor.
Matthew L. Studer joined the firm as an Associate in 2014. He received his Juris Doctor, with a Certificate in Energy and Environmental Law, from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Attorney Studer practices in the Westport office in the areas of civil litigation, land use and zoning and municipal law. He also serves as the Norwalk, CT, Zoning Hearing Officer,
Attorney Studer recently presented, “The Law in Connecticut Regarding Municipal Tax Exemptions for Real Property,” alongside Senior Partner Mario Coppola at the 2024 UConn CAAO Assessor Workshop. He also worked to provide an expert report regarding issues pertaining to the Town of Enfield’s 2021 tax revaluation. Attorney Studer is a member of the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Milford, Connecticut Bar Association.
Paul A. Testa joined the firm as Senior Counsel in the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group in 2020. He has practiced labor and employment law in Connecticut since 2007. Attorney Testa advises both public and private sector employers on an array of personnel, labor, and employment matters. He counsels management in preventative employment and labor matters as well as litigation of claims on all aspects of employment relationships. Attorney Testa has experience representing employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor.
Attorney Testa received his Juris Doctor from the Quinnipiac University School of Law, magna cum laude. He is admitted to the bar in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
