Reminder – Major Changes to CT Paid Sick Leave Law Effective January 1, 2025

By: Rebecca Goldberg

Public and private employers with at least 25 employees in Connecticut must prepare for changes to the CT Paid Sick Leave Law (CPSLL) that go into effect on January 1, 2025.  Now is the time to review and update policies to be ready for the change.

Employers with 25-49 employees and manufacturers become obligated to comply with this law for the first time; larger employers were already required to comply with this law, but likely need to change their policies to remain compliant.  This law requires employers to provide paid sick leave to employees for various reasons.

Read our update here to learn more about the changes to the CPSLL.  Whether you will be subject to this law for the first time on January 1, 2025, or need to update your policies to comply with the changes, we can guide you through these changes.  If the tangle of leave entitlements has you overwhelmed, we can provide one-on-one guidance to prepare you for these changes.  Please contact us to request a policy review and update.
